Mini Water Filter – Camo

This is a small lightweight hollow fiber mini water filter that helps you purify water while hiking, camping or in an emergency situation. It is ideally suited for New Zealand Backcountry use.

It can filter out impurities of 0.1 μm (0.00001 mm) and bigger. This means that Protozoa (Giardia), Algae and Bacteria, as well as small floating particles will be removed.

However, chemicals and mineral ions usually will not. This means that this filter is ideally to be used to purify water from relatively clean water sources like rivers and lakes that do not have any wastewater discharged into them.

It is ideally suited for New Zealand backcountry use to purify water from clean streams or ponds

The filter can be attached to the included reusable drinking pouch, or standard disposable PET bottles (28mm thread). With the included straw it is also possible to drink directly out of a stream or pond.

For longevity it is advised to back flush the filter with clean water after each use (syringe included in kit) and to let it dry out thoroughly before stowing away to prevent mold or bacteria from growing.
